What’s better than chocolate? Yep, you guessed it – mushroom chocolate! This international delight can be made at home with just a little bit of prep and your favorite chocolate. For best results, you will want to use high-quality dark or milk chocolate. We prefer a 50/50 mix of the two.
To make mushroom chocolates you will first need to prep your candy mould or ice trays that will be used to cool the chocolates. Clean your moulds and pour in a pre-measured amount of ground mushroom powder. Next, you will need to melt the chocolate using a stovetop pan or microwave. Your goal here is to fully melt the chocolate, but be careful not to burn it; stir it often.
Once the chocolate is nice and melted, remove it from the heat, stirring it while allowing it to cool a bit. When still malleable but not scorching hot, pour the chocolate into your candy mould or ice trays and stir to mix the powder with your chocolate. Once done you can put the mould in the freezer to harden.
And voilà! Four hours later you will have delicious homemade psychedelic chocolate goodness! Just make sure you don’t leave them out for grandma to find.
Not only does mushroom tea provide a stellar magical experience but is also a tasty alternative and easier for your body to digest than eating them.
To make your tea, you will want to grind up a pre-measured dose of your dried mushrooms and place them in a tea infuser (like this one). Bring a cup of water to a boil and let cool down for 10-15 minutes. Once cool, dunk your tea infuser and allow to steep for 5 minutes. Remove the infuser and enjoy!
For a little sweeter experience, add your favorite herb and add a little honey to taste.

Need a nutritious and energetic psychedelic snack for your next wilderness hike? Look no further than these mushroom energy balls. These protein-packed snacks are easily prepared without heat and are versatile enough to add your own ingredients depending on your tastes.
First, you will mix all your ingredients in a big bowl: Our simple recipe calls for. rolled oats, raisins, peanut butter, ground flax seeds, coconut flakes, cocoa powder, honey, cinnamon a little vanilla powder, and of course – finely chopped dried or fresh magic mushrooms. Mix all ingredients until they are evenly mixed, roll the balls and put them into the fridge to harden out.

MAGIC MUSHROOM HONEY (BLUE HONEY)
Blue Honey requires a little bit more long term planning, however, this magic mushroom-infused honey is extremely versatile, allowing you to spread it on toast, tea, pizza, virtually anything! While the recipe is generally pretty straight forward, there are a few important things that you will want to pay close attention to. The first is that you will need to start with thoroughly dried mushrooms; if your mushrooms still contain moisture, they could potentially ferment and cause severe illness or worse. Secondly, make sure you measure out your mushrooms to honey ratio in an amount that you are comfortable taking, i.e. one teaspoon of honey is equal to 100 mg of dried mushrooms; or whatever dosage you are comfortable with. This will take some math on your end, but you’ll thank me after grandma accidentally uses your honey in her tea. At least then you will know how hard she is going.
To make Blue Honey you will need:
- Ground mushroom powder (coffee grinder works best)
- Your favorite honey
- A mason jar with a sealing lid.
- Pour a layer of honey into the mason jar. You will be covering this layer with magic mushroom powder and repeating this step. Remember not to heat up the honey as the excess heat can destroy the active ingredient in your mushrooms.
- Dump a small amount of your magic mushroom powder over the layer of honey.
- Repeat steps one and two until you are out of honey.
- Seal the jar and place it in a dark cool area for 1-4 months.
I know it can be hard to wait to try your new trippy treat. But do your best to be patient, as the longer it sits, the more psilocybin will seep out and infuse the honey.
If you really want to experience your magic mushrooms but just can‘t get over the taste, then this method is for you.
Capsules do require some preparation and it’s worth noting that it will take longer for the mushrooms to take effect, but the capsule method is an effective way to get a measured dose without the taste.
First, you will want to weigh out and grind up your dried mushrooms (best in a coffee grinder or magic bullet). Once ground to a fine powder you can fill your empty capsules as desired. If you don’t have empty capsules, feel free to empty out your Ginkgo Biloba pills; because we both know you aren’t taking them.
